Poonch : Continuing it’s drive against drug peddlers on Anti drugs front, Poonch Police under the supervision of SSP Poonch Sh Vinay Sharma today on a routine Naka checking at BG stopped a Maruti Eco bearing reg no JK12B 7527 Coming from Jammu towards Mendhar and upon checking of Vehicle arrested two smugglers namely (1)Akhmat Hussain S/0 Mir Mohd caste Gujjar R/0 Gohlad ,Mendhar and recovered 256 grams of heroine like substance from his possession and
(2) Sarfraz ahmed S/o Mohd Mushtaq caste Gujjar r/o Gohlad Tehsil Mendhar and recovered 9.5 gms of Heroine like substance from him.
In this regard, a case FIR no. 123/2023 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS ACT has been registered at P/S Gursai and investigation of the case has been started.
The team headed by Insp Habib Pathan SHO Gursai Assisted by ASI Angrez khan IC PCP BG under the supervision of SDPO Mendhar Sheezan Bhat apprehended the drug peddlers in BG area and recovered heroine like substance from them.
Poonch Police enjoined upon all citizens of Poonch to be aware of drug menace and report any incident to Poonch Police as their identity will be kept secret.(CNI) Current News of India
